Smile New Green Weapon!!! (from scarab boss)

From March 3rd update:

"Kepkhet Marrowfeast, Queen of the Scarabs, has brought her brood to the desert, drawn by the plentiful corpses of griffon, minotaur, and even other scarabs. The insect brood now infests the "Prophets Path," so travelers be warned!"

So I go out with a group of some guys to check out what this scarab boss is up to. We kill the many trappers surrounding her and take care of her pretty easily. Oh, what's this? A new green weapon! It's like a Yakslapper, only better.

Kepkhet's Refuge
Energy +10
Fire Dmg: 11-22 (req. 9 Divine Favor)
Halves casting time of Protection Prayers spells (Chance: 20%)
Halves skill recharge of Protection Prayers spells (Chance: 20%)
Enchantments last 20% longer
Energy +5
Two-handed

Haha, a tailor-made invincimonk farming weapon dropped in the third biggest farming area of the game (after new UW and GF). Well, I guess ANet don't hate farmers after all.

It's not an invincimonk farming weapon. Where'd you come up with that crap? It's a perfect staff for a prot monk.

Funny.... We killed her and she didn't drop that. Guess you have to go farm for it a few times, huh?

Of course it's an invincimonk farming weapon. That's the staff my invincimonk will now definitely be getting.

..you're being sarcastic, right?

they probably knew that the staff was good for invincimonk builds, but i guess they thought that the Yakslapper was lacking....so now we've got this.

interesting.

um, you do understand the difference between one (rods/wands) and two handed (staff) weapons right?

Big deal, yeah, because there is no such thing as a 20/20 Prot staff from collector's, which is why most Prot Monks use the Yakslapper even though it only has 20% recharge and not the 20/20.

So, it still exists. It's not that hard to get.

Requirement only matters for damage. You still get all the benifits of the staff if you don't meet the req.

interesting... Well that give them something at least. lol... BTW.. I just did the 55 monk run with the new mobs. Its not really a nerf. so no biggy... Its just a minor nerf really. In fact it seems the drops improved... but that's prob cause of the silly rabbits not knowing how to tweak their builds yet. lol Oh well. still its interesting to see something new in there...
